Course Overview: The aim of the course is to give masters, chief mates, second engineer officers and persons assigned immediate responsibility for embarking and disembarking passengers, for loading, discharging or securing cargo or for closing hull openings on board ro-ro passenger ships, the training required by Regulation V/2
 
Teaching & Assessment: The course will provide both a practical and theoretical mixture
 
Course content:
• Safe Loading and embarkation procedures
• Safe carriage of goods
• Securing cargoes, the use of cargo-securing equipment and materials
• Carry out stability and stress calculations
• Knowledge to open, close and secure hull openings
• How to monitor and maintain a ro-ro deck atmosphere
